.: i heart salmon sashimi :.

salmon sashimi from Momiji - i can never have enough of these! :p

Adorable Noren curtain at Momiji!

Look how full my suitcase is! *sigh* I hate having to leave all my stuff here, especially my stinky pillows and bolster... I'm looking forward to go, but whenever I started to pack, I feel a bit mellow and beginning to be a bit unreasonable. There are moments I felt that yes, I really do need to bring that extra sweater coz it's going to feel left out if I leave it inside my closet... I've tried to build a nest here, and now I have to fly away again to build a new nest. I'm entitled to be slightly mellow, right? However I think it is too comfy here and I'm beginning to get lazy + spoiled. I really need to be on my own again, to actually do something that means a lot to me instead of doing what others told me to do. I can't wait!

.: the mexican in Bandung :.

I've heard about this place called Lada's months ago but I just got the chance to try it today. My friend & I planned to dine there last Sunday, however when we got there, the whole street was pitch black due to the rolling blackout. We waited for about 30 minutes and the electricity still hadn't turned back on, so we went to another place. The waiter told us that it usually lasted for several hours, without advance notice!! Their next door neighbor, a beauty shop, probably suffered the most; their clients went home with half-done perms!
Now, about the food. The chilli con carne was very sweet, and the beef burrito was very dry, no guacamole & cream cheese for the fajitas, tasty rice p
ilaf & nachos & salsa. However, overall taste was good altho' it's a tad different than the usual Mexican food I used to eat. Probably due to lack of condiments available and adjustments that are more suitable for Indonesian taste. (considering how sweet most of the food here, maybe it's a Javanized style?) As I'm counting the days until my departure, I've started to re-organize my bookshelves. Books are my treasure, and I really hate to see them gone missing. My favorites are the classics by Jane Austen & Louisa May Alcott, books that makes me think & learn like Paulo Coelho's, Anne of Green Gables series, books with interesting plot like Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, and of course, Harry Potter... :) I'm willing to trade my sleeptime for a good book. See, I don't spend all my time just eating good food! :p

.: I Scream for Ice Cream... :.

Chocolate+marshmallow & Rum+Hazelnut with caramel+peanut toppings - Strawberry Sorbet + vanilla

... especially on such a hot weather like this... despite the name is a bit tacky, their homemade ice cream is still on the top of my list. Also must try: butterscotch, coffee espresso, and peach casatta.

.: sugar high! :.

While browsing around the food stall in Senayan City's Urban Kitchen, I found a rack full of colorful delights at Chocalot : glistening, aromatic cupcakes. I literally drool in front of the display for several minutes, and spend more time on deciding which one I'd take home with me... I *after failed efforts from my friend who tried to drag me away* finally decided on the Mocha flavored one. It is as yummy as it looks, and makes me sugar high today :D

While cleaning out my inspirational drawer I found this Sunprint Kit that I bought a year ago. The sun was shining so bright today so I thought today is the perfect day to try this kit. It's very simple, just choose the shape you like best, lay it on top of the blue paper, put the included acrylic sheet on top of it, wait for several minutes, and voila! I chose the lace doily I used as the mat for my candy bowl, and obviously it's too big so I just selected the center area. It turns out quite nice. They have several ideas on their webby, so I'm going to continue my experiment! Fun!

.: bakerzin :.

Bakerzin has been one of my fave in-the-mall-dining-spot. Instead of eating at one of the food stalls, I'd rather have a good meal here. They have great selection of food, drinks and cakes. Too bad they don't have it in Bandung... maybe one day?

.:a generous artist in total mess :.

Gosh, when did all those stuff get into my closets? And how? Have I shopped while I was sleeping? :D okay fine, I admit it, I'm a chronic shopaholic *roll eyes* I buy anything from books to shoes to cute skirts to dresses to accessories to pajamas. That's why I'm going to held a closet cleanout event sometimes in the near future, so gals, please visit, you'll never know what you can find. However these piles will have the honor to join me in my new place, wherever that is ... Other closets cleanout is in progress now.. *sigh*

I found this test called Personal DNA from one of my fave blog, and it's quite fun! You don't have to sign up or sign in; which I think is such a hassle; and the report was quite accurate. So try it! :)
