Why do people only wear costumes on Halloween? How about Valentine costumes? No, I don't mean something see-through with furry slippers... Japanese teenagers and their costumes impress me the most. They're really taken by the concept of Lolita *which is a little disturbing, but it's actually a bit ... sexy...in a way... ahem.* And their costumes are unbelievable, from the sweet,innocent looking Lolitas to gothic, dark ones. I got a feeling that I'm going to look unbearably disturbing if I wear one of those, however it seems that their cashmere coats are very wearable and very pretty! I'm sure no one will turns his/her head away from me if I wear one of these... :D

I'm having a hard time trying to decipher the meaning of modern arts. Most of the time I just can't believe it is art (hey, maybe that's the meaning of it: to mock classical art?) I do, however, love San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art. Lucky for me being an art student in SF, I can get free entry everyday until Aug 2008, so I have access to their exhibitions. My favorite was one from Joseph Cornell, who created shadow boxes out of his collectible ephemeras. His boxes are really amazing, well-organized and well thought of. Aside from the intriguing exhibitions and permanent collections, I also love the store *surprise, surprise*. Unlike other museum store, here you can find every art and design books you need, functional modern innovative products, and beautiful jewelries.

I'm so crazy with B&BW warm vanilla sugar, and now I'm addicted to their Pecan Passion. I smell like a freshly baked pie (dunno if that's a good thing or not for people around me :p)
I know I should stop but I just don't want to!!!! :p I hope they only have this sale once a year or I'll be drowned in lotions! (at least everyone knows I will smell good everyday! Ha!)

Japanese Drama Hanazakari no Kimitachi e

I just got introduced to this drama recently, and despite the fact that the boys are prettier than me *ugh*, it's quite funny & sweet. It is slapstick-style so maybe not for everybody. There are two girls in the picture, can you guess which one? :D

This is how my backyard looks like after today's thunderstorm. I'm glad this happen now while I'm on vacay, there's no way I'm willing to go to class while it's raining like crazy out there! I'm also lucky there's no power outage in my area, no accidents occured. According to weather.com, tomorrow's thunderstorm will be worse...
