.: severe case of rat-pack :.
I've arrived at B-town safely yesterday. Flight was good, I love Singapore Airlines despite they reduce the luggage limit to 23kg instead of 32kg :D Finally got the chance to watch some movies, read some books and drink wine without worrying about DUI LOL (since when do I worry about DUI?!) Also got the chance to bought a cute pair of shoes in Changi Airport (amazing huh? Transit time was 1hr and I went home with a new pair of shoes, imagine what will happen if I spend 1 day in Singapore??) Was very concerned about my luggages yesterday since I heard lots of stories about missing suitcases in Indo's airport. After about 30-40 minutes of waiting I finally got a hold on my suitcases (still intact, FYI) J-town was as crazy and packed as always, drivers here are crazier than those in SanFran *obviously*.
So happy that my Chester still recognize me after 10 months! He welcomed me with licks and immediately eye-ing my gifts :D Will post pictures soon!
I just realized that I have a gazillion of stuff both here and in SanFran!!! My room is soo packed with my old stuff! Tons of DVDs, shoes, books, magazines... yikes! I'm one serious case of a rat-pack!

.: leaving sanfran :.

I am looking forward to see my friends & family (including my shtinky Chessie & pillow, of course), and the food!! I still think that Indo food is #1, especially those from the street hawkers. :)
Speaking of food, my friend Shelly gave me this bag full of Taiwanese snacks samplers. I got one pack of potato-chips thingy, star-shaped seafood thingy, almond nougats, and my favorite : the Crunchoco shown below. I love Taiwanese snacks! So this is a shoutout to Shelly and Zack : bring lots of Crunchoco for me!!

.: you got the wrong number... :.
I was waiting for an important phone call, and was a bit upset that I got a missed call from 'private number' (I thought the France Consulate is so secretive with their phone number and make it private...) Then I checked the voice mail, someone left me a message, congratulates me because my design is approved (yay! wait, which design?) I listened some more, and he said that now they will contact the engineering team (that's where he lost me. what engineering team??) and see if they can make something out of my design. Apparently he dialed the wrong number. Imagine that somewhere in this world someone is waiting for that call—hopefully the guy who called me figured out that he called the wrong person and all went well. Now I'm thinking, how many times that someone who tried to reach me dialed the wrong number and left important messages on someone else's phones? How terrible.

.: Birthday Birthday! :.
I had my official birthday dinner-thingy and I got my cake, thanks to Y (who lied to me and said he forgot the cake!!!) Yay! Also want to share pics of my other gifts. Shoutout to my hunny for getting me the Queen of Sorrow print. Thank you sooo much! *hugs* Also to miss J who brought me additional gift, Mr Z with his F21 gift, Mr K *aka MOM* for the compilation of NDS games and Mr D for the leather Moleskine journal. Oh how I love birthdays! Yesh, I'm a year older now, and have about 362 days left of being in my 20s... freaky ey? But the gifts consoled me.

Bday cake!
free quiches!
I got the chance to meet one of my good friend two days ago and hangout at this place. It's a bit weird, trying to be dingy but fancy (I think they failed miserably, the place just look awkwardly empty) The coffee, however, was excellent. Too bad I didn't try their special, but it was a lot better than the usual you-know-where. And we got free quiches! It was after 4PM so they gave their pastries away, which we happily accepted.

What Your Latte Says About You |
When it comes to what you like, you have your own unique tastes. And people don't really understand them. You can be quite silly at times, but you know when to buckle down and be serious. Intense and energetic, you aren't completely happy unless you are bouncing off the walls. You're addicted to caffeine. There's no denying it. You are a child at heart, and you don't ever miss the opportunity to do something playful. You are expressive and friendly, but you are never pushy. |
.: bday + final week :.
This semester turned out to be a horrific one. I thought I'm ok with 2 on-site classes and one online class but I still messed up towards the end. I have too many things to do now and was a bit down yesterday. It was my birthday and I did not get the chance to fully enjoy it. True, I did celebrate earlier, but still... it's not a birthday without cake and flowies... I was consoled because a lot of people remember (thanks to Birthday Calendar, Friendster and Facebook I guess?) I got some nice gifts too, so I probably shouldn't bother about cake. :p All I can think about is my final projects, but I think I survived typography class... *fingers crossed* Now it's time to think about the other two classes I abandoned... And my Anne-Julie package arrived a few days ago, brightened up my day! She gave me two adorable buttons and 'Lost Key' postcard! I absolutely looooove my new necklaces! I have two more gifts I'd love to showcase if I have time to post the pictures...
