.: shoe fetish :.

I'm having problems with shoes all the time. I am short and puffy (I despised the word obese) with exceptionally small feet (size 5) If I wear flat I look so awkwardly off balanced and my legs look ginormous. If I wear high heels I got tired easily because of my weight. So far my solutions have been wedgies but they don't always match your outfit. Recently I found a company called Sofft that produces very comfy shoes but they don't have a lot of style that I like. I love Crocs' sandals but they're too juvie sometimes and they don't come in my size. Now they come up with this collection called You, it's like a combination between Crocs' comfy cushion with style! So cute! However stylish high-tech does not come cheap ... this cutie cost $140 ....... good thing they don't come in my size (again...) So for consolation I bought this cute maryjane 'stripper shoes'... :p

.: all dressed up :.

One of the things I love about San Francisco is how people walk everywhere and take public transportation (although I have a love/hate relationship with SF Muni) I got the chance to see varieties for cold-weather outfits here, from the nastiest oversize sweaters matched with cropped pants and booties (arrgh) to sleek and chic colorful coats. I think my obsession with clothing is actually getting worse here! So many well-dressed girls and girly men (I saw a very well dressed man wearing a black patent-leather stilettos to school one day) I also adore little details, good color combination and retro-ish style. I love how these girls dress and I wish I can start to have more adventures with my bulging wardrobe just like they do.

A friend noted that the reason I look so 'Asian' instead of 'American' is because I don't dress like most Americans do (is that even a problem? I don't get it) Granted that certain styles don't really fit a 145lbs- 5' 0.6"(that point six counts, right?!!) but I don't think it has anything to do with race. Just have fun, don't be hatin! :p

Lately I've been a sucker for handmade look on everything I have, trying to find that special details. I think this top is super lovely and it is handmade... and it has that 60s, mod-ish feel to it! I've been begging my mom not to throw away her 60s dresses but I don't think she will agree ... :p

.: happy happy! :.

I got positive feedback from people who downloaded my scrapbook stuff... :) *such a sucker for praises* Now I wish I have more time to create stuff! I'm also very delighted that two of my good friends moved to SanFran!!! *HUGS* Now I have more friends I can talk to & shop with! We went to the Green Apple Bookstore today and I found something precious (although nothing beats that Marvel Comics Superheroes Fitness Guide of yours, Pen!) It's a 1957 illustrated Winnie the Pooh book. Almost every page have black & white illustrations and several color plates by E.H Shepards. It is in mint condition and does not smell like it has been sitting in someone's garage for 51 years.

This week I also got my Black Apple's print, so now I have a set of three! So exciting! Now I need to find frames that will fit my Anne-Julie's prints in order to have a mini-gallery in my room.

On top of that, I finished a scarf and needle holder too! I guess I was truly busy huh?

.: my mini scrapbook blog :.

I love doing digital scrapbooking. I think I mentioned it sooo many times before :) Now I'm learning to do my very own kit and I have a blog for it: mixmatchscrap.blogspot.com. There's a yellow button thingy on the very end of the bar on the right, just in case you want to see what I give away. And here's the page I created from my own kit... (the flower's not mine tho, got it from the unbelievably talented nancy kubo) I wish I can do better so maybe one day this can be useful to generate money for my Anthropologie obsessions...

.: shop for a cause :.

I love Sujean Rim's watercolor illustrations, and now she collaborate with Jones New York for their campaign 'Support America's Teachers'.

Four dollars will be donated to the National Teen Dating Abuse hotline if you buy this necklace. I think it's really cute!

.: shipshop :.

I love looking at all-mighty's collections : so me! Basic with a twist, that's what I usually call it. And this particular top is on sale! Will look cute with jeans, my cream skirt, and white short! I can also match it with my prized possesion: red Sofft t-strap! (best shoes ever made) Should I????
While looking for inspirations from Creature Comforts I found these. Aren't these coats yummm?? Love the style and colors! Me want me want!!! These are from Old Navy, which starting to get back into my list again.. :)

.: favorite childhood Disney episodes :.

I grew up without siblings and boy was I a fussy little kid... :) If I got bored or my mom needs to do something without me, she put me in front of the television. My companions are mouses, ducks, chipmunks and one particular cat doing silly stuff that made me laugh. It was very memorable (considering I'm not all grown up now...) and thanks to youtube, I found several episodes that I absolutely love. Here's one of them :

.: been busy! :.

As you guys know how I've been so out of it this week, juggling between homeworks and personal distraction such as online shopping... and farewell dinner. My project right now is designing a whole new magazine and I chose a quirky-social guide as my topic. The first edition will talk about dating and I have an article on *gasp* how to dress for a date (my version). Of course it is also an excuse to browse for clothings (research!) and look what I found from modcloth! Aren't these yummy??

.: attention seeker :.

In the course of your life you must have met one or two individuals who love attention so much they'll die without it. You know them: they wore brightly colored shirts and/or ginormous accessories, talk super loud and high-pitched, always steer the conversations around so they can be the center of attention, roll their eyes upon hearing about other people's problem... They'll do anything to attract attention to themselves and tend to belittle other people.

I found these kind of people to be annoying. I tried not to be one of them; too much attentions make me uncomfortable (
especially when deep inside you know it's a fake attention). However now that I think about it, I do envy their honesty (I still cannot tolerate the loud and high-pitched sounds tho...) They want something and they actually ask for it instead of kept on wishing (like me). I do like small attentions but I cannot seem to ask for it because I'll feel like the attention-seekers. I admit I do love it when people pay attention to me (come on, who doesn't?), but in smaller doses. Just simple things like how my former boss used to bought me little stickers because he knows I collect them, or a simple praise from someone I passed on the street, or random mixed cd that a friend of mine always give away for gifts... I cherished the smaller, simple attentions... and I crave them like I crave for coffee... :)

oops... that was a long speech... :p just something that passed my mind while I'm forcing myself to sleep 'early' (3AM instead of 5) Phew. I think tomorrow I'll watch something funny before I go to bed so that I don't overthink stuff.
Lately I felt as if I'm drifting without any clear directions.
That's why the title of the photograph is adrift :)
