.: fix this background thingy :.
I found this super adorable image but I cannot seem to make it fit. Any suggestions? I tried so many codes I found online but they did not work. Help?
.: legen.... wait for it.... dary!! :.
Hey, whaddup? You have to see this show from season 1, seriously. This is my new 'Friends'. fyi: I heart psycho Lily! :D
.: clean up your act :.
Some of you are already familiar with my thesis topic, which is about bringing back civility in San Francisco's public places. I'm more focused with promoting a better decision making process than regulating other people's manners. My one-line manifesto is 'you cannot control how others behave, but you can control how you react.' I need to call this thesis something, and I'd love to hear some clever, double entendre, cheeky title ideas from everyone, pretty please :)
What's with the bikes picture, you asked? They're my neighbor's, and as you can see the tires are right in front of our door. If you're not careful, you may bump into them & got pretty nasty bruises. Tempted to leave them a passive aggressive note but I opted to avoid the conflict & just walk around it :p

.: remember this? :.
Oh yeah you do! Don't you lie to me now. It was the coolest, most expensive shoes I've ever had when I was 14 :D Mind you I was having a bit of gender issues back then. I wasn't very interested in being a girl until I hit 15... LOL. So up to the age 14 I practically wear jeans and shirts, boyish watches and doc martens' boots. I had the 1460 and 1461, which I wore to school with knee-high ribbed white socks! The leather was super soft and the rubber air-cushion sole is so soft. It is a bit clunky but very comfortable. I just found out that they have so many styles, and they are just as crazy cool as Frye + soft like Sofft(and as pricey, unfortunately) !
Look at these great shoes & boots! And to think that they're as comfortable as the original 1460+1461!

.: short post :.
Hello, anybody there? Anyone still reading? Nobody wants to comments? Sad... :( In that case I'll just have a super short post of some pictures.
I whip a very quick felt project that was inspired by this amazing etsy shop.
Obviously I'm not as good as her, but I need to create something to take my mind off things

.: ooh boy :.
Homeworks are starting to pile up, and it's only the first week of school! Crazy, I know. It is, however, less hectic than last semester so I should be really good this time. Emphasize on 'should be'. Right now I'm just baaaad... completely distracted from homeworks, and posting stuff on my blog instead. I was browsing my own folders for inspirations and found these:
Jackie Chan's ageless secret: Ba Wang Hair Darkening Shampoo
This is why Singaporeans are thin: They put this warning everywhere,
including a zero calorie bottled water
And I found this adorable mouse in Singapore. This is actually a glass cover with suction, to prevent dust and dirt from contaminating your water/beverages. There are other version of this dude: a cat, a cake and cupcakes. I chose this one because I just love the pointy pink nose :)

.: 999! :.
Ever since I owned a BlackBerry people keep on sending me chain-messages through BlackBerry Messenger, one of the most recent one is the 'Happy 999 - Luckiest Day Ever!' Not to me, since my Grandpa passed away on Sept 9, 1999 * yup, I'm the BEST party pooper * Anyhoo, apparently it IS a lucky day, since my roomie just got a job today * hooray! * and therefore I don't want to jinx this day. Who knows? Maybe something good will happen today!

.: Karel Čapek teatime shop :.

A while ago I posted my Tea Time purchases when I was in Singapore. It was from a Japanese tea company called Karel Čapek Teatime Shop, inspired by Czech writer Karel Čapek . They launched their products with different packaging every season (obviously to attract collectors) done by a talented artist by the name of Yamada Utako. Their teas are very fragrant and yummy, but a tad expensive (8 tea bags for US$9, so you do sort of pay for the packaging). I just found their websites and apparently not only they sell teas but there are illustrated tea sets, ginger snaps, cooking books and silk-screened drawings. Visit their website here and their online store here, they're in Japanese but you can see all the hand-done illustrations.

.: the F word :.
Am not one to utilize the word in many 'centences', but this video with its old spelling is so hilarious I have to share!!!
.: waiilling... :.
Aaargh I missed this original work art by Anne Julie. And it was $80!! (not too bad compared to her other original artwork that goes up to $400) *sobbbbbbb* And it was Marie Antoinette! And it was sold in SF's Gallery 88!!! It's so gorgeous... :(
*breathe in, breathe out* I hope one day she'll produce Marie Antoinette's prints too... I got a feeling that she's becoming more well known now, which means her artworks will be more expensive :(
I also found this beautiful painting by Leontine Greenberg, already sold out before the show started in Gallery 88.5 (the online version of Gallery 88)
